Project Update
I wanted to give a quick update on some of the things I’ve been working on. The second story of Virgil McDane, DITF (you’re not supposed to know what that stands for) is coming along well and I am shooing for an early May deadline. That should be more than enough time to get everything completed, get it to readers, and make last minute edits. It also will give me time to get a cover together. I am doing something different than last time, so we’ll see how that goes. Details will be announced as soon as I have them. I am quite happy with the way the second one is coming. There are some very rough parts that need to be completed, some plot holes filled in, and a general tightening, but it has been a lot of fun to write and I think will be a lot of…
Sherlock Holmes: He Belongs To Everyone
At least now he does. Last week, a judge ruled that the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle concerning Sherlock Holmes were, in fact, in the public domain. Up until this point, stories about the the world’s greatest detective (except for possibly Batman, but I’m willing to see the arguments on both sides for this) could only be written by those who paid a license fee. On the one hand, all for the Conan Doyle Estate for being able to reap the rewards of a classic character. Doyle created him, put the work in, enjoyed the benefits and then passed those benefits onto his family after…

I am an author, I published my first book Sorcerer Rising Aug. 12, 2013. I did it myself, self publishing through KDP. When I started Story Arcs I didn’t really know what I wanted to do with it but it quickly became a collection of publishing information, both as a way to seek info from the WordPress verse but also so I could help those looking for info themselves. As that continue, and because I just can’t keep quiet about things I enjoy, it also began to include…
